Basic Search Technique
The ourbrisbane.com search engine is here to help you find pages on our site for your specific query or area of interest. You can search by typing
in one or more keywords from your question into the search box. For example, to find information about registering your dog you could type "dog" or "dog
registration" in the box.
When you have finished typing the key words, click Go or hit Enter.
Some tips:
- searches are case insensitive, eg. searching for "Dog" will
match the lower case "dog" and upper case "DOG"
- searches are also accent insensitive, eg. searching for words with the letter “o” will return words with the letter “õ”
- where terms can be spelt as one word or two you may need to try both. For example, "rollerblading" and "roller
blading"
- common words such as "and", "or", "where", "what" and "such" are
ignored
Search results
After your search, a list of pages matching your search will appear in a search results list. The results at the top of the list are most likely
to contain the information you are searching for.
When you think you've found the right page, follow the linked page title to view that page.
Still can't find what you want?
If none of the results contain the information you want, try these other options.
- re-check your spelling
- try different word endings, eg. plurals
- separate words with spaces, eg. "swimming pools" rather
than "swimmingpools"
- narrow your search to prevent returning too many results. For example if you started with "dogs" try
adding words such as "lost dogs" or "missing dogs"
- broaden your search to increase the number of returned results. For example, if you searched for "training
a German Shepherd" you may wish to try more general search terms such as "dog training"
